Cold water aquaculture
Cold water aquaculture development projects in Asia, especially, have become the new focus of development co-operation. Transfer of other technologies also opens up possibilities for innovations. The Fish Innovation Centre's internationalization services, financial planning services and connections have a significant role to play in the internationalization of companies. Today, international co-operation has an emphasis on financial partnerships, which is also the goal of the Fish Innovation Centre.
OBJECTIVES
- Engaging in the start-up of exporting Finnish know-how in cold water aquaculture and enhancing co-operation between institutes and companies
- Enhancing the level of technology and capacity in partner institutions
- Advancing Finnish aquaculture, technology, feed and the processing industries markets and opening up new markets
- Supporting the sustainable development of fisheries and aquaculture
- Increasing the proportion of Finnish fisheries and aquaculture expertise in international development co-operation
EVALUATIONS IN THE FISH PROCESSING SECTOR
The Fish Innovation Centre completed the prefeasibility study for the Vesanto IQF line and arranged for competitive tender to take place. In 2008, the Fish Innovation Centre will take part in the documentation for the plant and in the training session for new users. The Fish Innovation Centre experts work as a go-between for the users and suppliers of the equipment. |
